Stategic papers or: it is forbidden to think, by Dagmar Henn

A few days ago German corporate media jubilated as if they had caught Putin with his hands in the cookie jar — and proudly presented  a „strategy paper“ which they supposed proved that all events regarding Crimea and in Donbass were just the Kremlin’s evil machinations.

They must think all their readers are idiots.

This paper is said to have been written just ten days before the coup in Kiev last year. It contains some serious analytical flaws, like the expectation that Yanukovich would remain in power until the regular elections. Therefore it could only be considered an on-going tactical analysis and never a „strategic paper“. And something like this is supposed to prove that the events were orchestrated?

This claim can function only based upon the fact that people had been successfully convinced that strategic thinking in itself is evil, and the assumption that  such analysis amounted to a “conspiracy theory”.

This can only work due to the fact that equivalent German papers are not so openly published.

Conversation: Graham Phillip’s message to Britain

The journalist Graham Phillips, over the course of the Western funded, directed and supported Nazi onslaught in Ukraine, has remained steadfast in his quest for telling the truth.

Here Graham in his own words, giving a message to Britain.

The Real Story on Iran, US, Russia and China, by Pepe Escobar

The real story is, and will continue to be, how Iran, the key power in Southwest Asia, is about to be positioned in the nonstop complex ballet between the US, Russia and China. That’s one of the key vectors of the New Great Game in Eurasia.

The real story was never about how warmonger Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, a foreign leader, would crudely use the House of Cards, sorry, the US Capitol, as a lowly re-election bully pulpit to mould the US presidency and American foreign policy.

A graphic indication is that while “Bomb Iran” Bibi was distilling his 39-minute harangue in Washington, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif were engaged in their third round of nuclear negotiations in Montreux.

The real story is also only partially about this perennial soap opera — the Iranian nuclear dossier. By the end of this month there will be a deadline to reach a framework agreement, and by June – optimistically – a comprehensive final settlement.

The Neoconservative Threat to International Order, by Paul Craig Roberts

The American Hegemony

Last week I was invited to address an important conference of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow.  Scholars from Russia and from around the world, Russian government officials, and the Russian people seek an answer as to why Washington destroyed during the past year the friendly relations between America and Russia that President Reagan and President Gorbachev succeeded in establishing.  All of Russia is distressed that Washington alone has destroyed the trust between the two major nuclear powers that had been created during the Reagan-Gorbachev era, trust that had removed the threat of nuclear armageddon. Russians at every level are astonished at the virulent propaganda and lies constantly issuing from Washington and the Western media. Washington’s gratuitous demonization of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has rallied the Russian people behind him.  Putin has the highest approval rating ever achieved by any leader in my lifetime.

Washington’s reckless and irresponsible destruction of the trust achieved by Reagan and Gorbachev has resurrected the possibility of nuclear war from the grave in which Reagan and Gorbachev buried it.  Again, as during the Cold War the specter of nuclear armageddon stalks the earth.

Why did Washington revive the threat of world annihilation?  Why is this threat to all of humanity supported by the majority of the US Congress, by the entirety of the presstitute media, and by academics and think-tank inhabitants in the US, such as Motyl and Weiss, about whom I wrote recently?

Hybrid Warfare: Putin just played a very interesting card

In one stroke Russia has named and shamed the culprits of the Information War waged against her and dealt multiple blows in years to come. Now, look at the top 15 and ask yourself what it tells you?

Germany is fooling no one while it tops the list and the so-called International Community is just a bunch of corrupt politicians in western capitals bidding for big capital.

This Index is here to stay as a constant reminder of which nations show duplicitous behaviour in their coverage of Russia.  An ever improving sophisticated propaganda (Read the Russian definition) tool developed to counter a sophisticated Mass Media campaign and render it useless in one blow.

According to this methodology, there are two countries that currently engage in an “information war” against Russia: Germany and the U.S. The countries that follow after them but are less aggressive in their media policies include Austria, France, the UK and Poland.

The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies introduced its first-ever World Mass Media Hostility Index, which measures potential anti-Russian bias in the media publications of different countries, and then assigns each country an overall score.

On Feb. 18 the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS),a think tank established by the Russian President in 1992, presented its new “World Mass Media Hostility Index,” the main goal of which is to rank how friendly countries are to Russia by analyzing their mass media content. It aims to identify the states that exercise the most aggressive media policy towards Russia and threaten its “information security.”

This analytical report is the result of detailed analysis of the media policies of different countries in 2014, when crucial shifts in the rhetoric employed by Western media about Russia occurred. The author of the mass media hostility index is a senior fellow at RISS, Dr. Igor Nikolaichuk. He suggests that, over the course of 2014, Western media started to “spread anti-Russian propaganda more actively than ever,” which he calls the beginning of “the global information war” against Russia.
