Academia: Hands off Revolutionary Philosophy!, by Andre Vltchek

Philosophers have been muzzled by the Western global regime; most of great modern philosophy concealed from the masses. What has been left of it, allowed to float on the surface is toothless, irrelevant and incomprehensible: a foolish outdated theoretical field for those few remaining intellectual snobs.

Philosophy used to be the most precious crown jewel of human intellectual achievement. It stood at the vanguard of almost all fights for a better world. Gramsci was a philosopher, and so were Lenin, Mao Tse-tung, Ho-Chi-Minh, Guevara, Castro, Frantz Fanon, Senghors, Cabral, Nyerere and Lumumba, to name just a few.

To be a thinker, a philosopher, in ancient China, Japan or even in some parts of the West, was the most respected human ‘occupation’.

In all ‘normally’ developing societies, knowledge has been valued much higher than material possessions or naked power.

In ancient Greece and China, people were able to understand the majority of their philosophers. There was nothing “exclusive” in the desire to know and interpret the world. Philosophers spoke to the people, for the people.

Some still do. But that whoring and servile Western academic gang, which has locked philosophy behind the university walls, viciously sidelines such men and women.

Instead of leading people to the barricades, instead of addressing the most urgent issues our world is now facing, official philosophers are fighting amongst themselves for tenures, offering their brains and bodies to the Empire. At best, they are endlessly recycling each other, spoiling millions of pages of paper with footnotes, comparing conclusions made by Derrida and Nietzsche, hopelessly stuck at exhausted ideas of Kant and Hegel.

At worst, they are outrightly evil – making still relevant revolutionary philosophical concepts totally incomprehensible, attacking them, and even disappearing them from the face of the Earth.

***

Only the official breed, consisting of almost exclusively white/Western ‘thought recyclers’, is now awarded the right to be called ‘philosophers’.

My friends in all corners of the world, some of the brightest people on earth, are never defined as such. The word ‘philosopher’ still carries at least some great theoretical prestige, and god forbid if those who are now fighting against Western terror, for social justice or true freedom of thought, were to be labeled as such!

But they are, of course, all great philosophers! And they don’t recycle – they go forward, advancing brilliant new concepts that can improve life on our Planet. Some have fallen, some are still alive, and some are still relatively young:

Below is a very interesting recent series of statements, followed by Q&A with Syria’s Ambassador to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Ja’afari on turkey’s latest criminal aggression against Syria, as well as turkey’s history of violating Syria’s sovereignty and abetting, funneling terrorists into Syria.

*I typed out some choice remarks by Dr. al-Ja’afari*

“Nowadays everybody knows what’s going on in Syria. The turkish government is responsible of dealing, trading with ISIL. Buying oil, gas, and artifacts from ISIL. Facilitating the movement of this illegal, illegitimate trade of artifacts and gas and oil through turkish territory into some european capitals and ‘israel’.

So the story is over, the game is over. The turkish wrong and irresponsible policies are very well known to everybody. It’s time to put the turkish rulers at the seat of confession in front of the Security Council.”

*

“The whole war against is a war crime and a war against humanity. The economic boycott–taking the form of unilateral economic coercive measures for 5 years. Blockade. All kinds of boycott has been implemented by these aggressive countries towards my government–by the way, they are the same countries supporting the armed groups, the terrorist groups, operating in Syria and Iraq.

Definitely we have credible information that the so-called US led alliance struck the hospital in the northern part of Syria, but as usual the easiest way for them is to trigger a hostile campaign against the Syrian government–within the media–to accuse and defame the Syrian government, or our allies the Russians, of doing so and being behind such criminal act against a hospital.”

“Which ‘opposition’? We have 1000 ‘oppositions’.”

Watch him lay down the law. The people’s law.

An Association of Journalists who stand for honesty and dignity of life, by Augmented Ether

This blog has been online for sometime now and it has given us the opportunity to survey the landscape of popular left opinion makers, writers, journalists, philosophers, poets, historians,,economists, media organizations and more.

We have found there to be much good in the community, a lot of good will, true honest dedicated individuals and very driven truth seekers. To be honest, it has been the proverbial breath of fresh air to work with the wonderful people involved in speaking the truth.

However, we have also at the same time noticed a few things that can be done a lot better by just some simple coordination and collaboration. It has been very surprising to us that we were able to talk to veteran journalists, suggest ideas and even introduce people. And this was just a part time blog.

There are a number of good people doing great things and we wish to help them all connect with each other. That is pretty much the aim at the moment.

One such person who has been generous with her unwavering support of the truth and of raising the bar of journalism is Dagmar Henn, a former Munich City Councilor and now a member of the German Communist Party.

It was during a conversation with her that the idea of an “Association of Journalists” was mentioned by Dagmar.

Here, below, we (this blog) explain it in our own words.

The Proposition:

One need that we have seen in the Alternate Media landscape has been a lack of collaboration to establish standards that would help identify the honest from the run of the mill.  Perhaps a vehicle that could be a form of loose fraternity if you call it, would be say an “Association of Journalists who stand for honesty and dignity of life”. We all know how much damage the Mass Media inflicts on ordinary people who lap up lie after lie after lie

When the unenlightened go online, they are met with a barrage of news reports from every corner of the planet. There is simply no way to verify the report, certify the credibility of the author nor to assume with confidence that journalistic standards were followed. Now, if you are the average joe, would you really dig through to find the truth of the matter?

For instance, a logo or digital water mark for display pictures could be one simple way to indicate at first sight what the journalist stands for. We could even have a people fact checked and maintained database of journalists from around the world. These are just some ideas on how we could do things and by no means a final suggestion.

The idea is to spark conversations and working groups to help us all realize a positive outcome, a consolidation of our respective followers, a unification of the global movement now underway in various shapes, colours and forms.

Please help spread the word!

When there is utter corruption in the landscape then we must form a new body to be the focal point of fighting this corruption via people funded media. We feel NewsBud has that potential, it is a truly unique way to transform news for the 21st century.

Similarly, we see exciting stuff at Peak Prosperity that will serve as a great educational tool for the masses of interested people.

Another example of powerful people power is Mint Press News that has quickly gained a steady following.

How can we have everyone collaborating more?

How can we shape opinion by using technology to enable discussion panels with the worlds foremost experts on a regular basis broadcast online for the entire planet to learn from? for example. A panel dedicated to responding to official government claims on matters such as the TPPA .

There is much to think about and this is by no means an attempt to answer all questions but we feel it is a step in the right direction.

We would like to call on anyone in our community of peers to discuss these idea among yourselves, your network of friends & family and us.

Never before in the history of the world did we all have so much talent available at our finger tips. Lets get smart and use it to our advantage. We can do wonderful things.

World Faces Wave of Epic Debt Defaults, Fears Central Bank Veteran

Source: Information Clearing House

[Exclusive: Situation worse than it was in 2007, says chairman of the OECD’s review committee]

By Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, in Davos

January 20, 2016 “Information Clearing House” – “The Telegraph ” –  The global financial system has become dangerously unstable and faces an avalanche of bankruptcies that will test social and political stability, a leading monetary theorist has warned.

“The situation is worse than it was in 2007. Our macroeconomic ammunition to fight downturns is essentially all used up,” said William White, the Swiss-based chairman of the OECD’s review committee and former chief economist of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

“Debts have continued to build up over the last eight years and they have reached such levels in every part of the world that they have become a potent cause for mischief,” he said.

“It will become obvious in the next recession that many of these debts will never be serviced or repaid, and this will be uncomfortable for a lot of people who think they own assets that are worth something,” he told The Telegraph on the eve of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

“The only question is whether we are able to look reality in the eye and face what is coming in an orderly fashion, or whether it will be disorderly. Debt jubilees have been going on for 5,000 years, as far back as the Sumerians.”

An Invisible US Hand (Turkey) Leading to War? by, DAVE LINDORFF

Turkey’s Downing of a Russian Jet was an Act of Madness

Source: counterpunch

Erdogan-angry-510x255

In considering the terrifying but also sadly predictable news of a Russian fighter jet being downed by two Turkish fighters, let’s start with one almost certain assumption — an assumption that no doubt is also being made by the Russian government: Turkey’s action, using US-supplied F-16 planes, was taken with the full knowledge and advance support of the US. In fact, given Turkey’s vassal status as a member of US-dominated NATO, it could well be that Ankara was put up to this act of brinksmanship by the US.

What makes the downing of the Russian jet, and the reported death of at least one of its two pilots (the other was reportedly captured alive by pro-turkish Turkmen fighters on the Syrian side of the Syria-Turkish border, and will presumably be returned to Russia) so dangerous is that as a member of NATO, supposedly a “mutual assistance” treaty that binds all members to come to the defense of one that is attacked, if Russia were to retaliate by downing a Turkish military plane, NATO countries including the US would be obligated to come to Turkey’s defense.

Russia knows this, and that is why so far the Russian response to the downing has been muted. Had it been a Jordanian, Saudi or Kuwaiti jet that downed the Russian SU-24, Russia’s response would have been instantaneous. The guilty party would have had some of its planes shot down, or perhaps even bombed on the ground. But President Putin so far has limited himself to demanding a meeting, to warning that Russian-Turkish economic relations would be threatened, etc.

This restraint is good, but clearly, Vladimir Putin will not stop there. Even putting aside domestic considerations (imaging the public clamor for a military response here in the US if some small country shot down a US plane!), he will have to respond or his whole project — so far stunningly successful — of restoring Russia to its pre-USSR-collapse position as a global power, would be a failure.

Putin’s options are actually quite broad, though some carry considerably more risk for everyone, not just for Russia and Turkey. He could have his own air

force in Syria, where Russia is legally acting at the request of the Syrian government to defend it against rebel forces of ISIS and Al Nusra, some of which are backed by both Turkey and the US, calmly wait for a Turkish military jet to cross into Syrian airspace. At that point it could be downed by Russian planes or missiles. No doubt Turkey will be extraordinarily careful going forward to have its pilots keep well away from Syrian air space too avoid that, but it could happen. My guess is that Russian fighter pilots and anti-aircraft batteries in Syria already have their marching orders to take that action, which probably would not activate NATO confrontation with Russia and lead to World War III, as long as there was reasonable evidence that Turkey’s plane was in Syrian airspace.

But should no such opportunity present itself, Russia has plenty of other opportunities to counter Turkey. Remember, Russia is also defending Syria’s coastline, and could sink or capture a Turkish ship that entered Syrian waters (or Russian waters in the Black Sea, which borders both countries).

Russia — knowing that this is really not about Turkey, but about push-back by the US against growing Russian power and influence, both globally and in the Middle East region — could also choose to respond in a venue where it has more of an advantage, for example in Ukraine, where it could amp up its support for the breakaway regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, perhaps by downing a Ukrainian military plane, or more broadly, providing air cover to protect those regions. Russia could also, less directly, provide aid to Kurdish rebels in both Syria and in Turkey itself who are fighting against Turkish forces.

I’m sure there are plenty of other options available to Russia also to turn the screws against both Turkey and NATO, without openly pushing buttons that could lead to a direct confrontation with the US and its NATO fiction. Working in Russia’s favor is that the US aside, the European nations of NATO have no desire to be at war with Russia. There are clearly hotheads in the US Congress, the Pentagon, and perhaps even within the neo-con-infested Obama administration, who are pushing for just such a mad showdown. But in Europe, where the actual fighting would mostly occur, and where memories are still strong of the destructive power of war, there is no taste for such insanity. It could, in fact, have been a big error in the long run for the US to push Turkey into such a deadly provocation, if it leads to more anti-American sentiment among the citizens of such key NATO countries as France, Germany, Italy and Britain.

It should be added that Russia and China have become much closer in recent years, economically, politically and militarily. This means there is also the possibility that the two countries could, in concert, step up pressure on the US in the western Pacific, for example by forcing down one of the provocative US flights near China’s new island projects in the South China Sea. That would force an already stretched US military to shift more forces to Asia from Europe and the Middle East.

It is all terribly dangerous and it is hard to predict where things will lead. One thing seems certain, though. This outrageous shootdown of a Russian plane that was in no way posing a threat to Turkey or Turkish forces, will not end here, because Russia and President Putin cannot allow Turkey and NATO to so blatantly act against Russia and its pilots and go unpunished, particularly as it is Russia that is acting legally in Syria, while the US, Turkey and other nations backing rebel forces there are in all acting blatant violation of international law.

Unless saner heads start prevailing in Washington, this could all quickly spiral into the kind of situation in 1914, where a lot of ill-conceived treaties led to a minor incident in the Balkans turning inexorably into World War I.

An Open Letter to the Spirit of a Rebellious Leader, by ADAM CHIMIENTI

Source: Counterpunch

Sankara

[Note: Thomas Sankara, president of Burkina Faso from 1983-87, was assassinated on October 15, 1987. This letter was written on the 25th anniversary of his death and modified slightly after.]

Dear President Sankara,

It was 25 years ago this autumn that you were removed from office and killed. So much has happened since then. Your beloved Burkina Faso, the country you renamed to reflect the upright nature of the people there, is imperiled. The vast majority is impoverished and frustrated by the current state of affairs. Your former comrade, Blaise Compaoré, who was instrumental in bringing you to power and supporting you, had eventually engineered your removal and assassination. He has most certainly congratulated himself on this twenty-fifth anniversary in power. Recently, Blaise won his last election but quickly set to work on how he could maneuver around a constitutional amendment that limits a president to two terms. Strange! He is currently serving his fourth term and has indicated he will run yet again in 2015.i

I imagine you are not surprised by this turn of events. You were making predictions about how your removal was inevitable in the years, months, and weeks leading up to the dark, fateful day when Africa lost a powerful and fiercely independent voice. It also probably would not surprise you that most people around the world have never heard of you and they most certainly won’t pay heed to the reminders of this tragic anniversary by international media or official government ceremonies. There will surely be commemorations in your honor but the silence will ultimately be deafening.
