Sam offers below a fresh perspective on how there could still be hope left in the most unlikeliest of places, the police state of America.
After all, the country still claims to be a democracy so why not call it out on that? At the very least it advances the debate beyond the goebbelsesque headlines being pumped out of the “media”. The establishment has always fed off hate at every turn and the common man is manipulated, isolated and disenfranchised.
300+ million Americans are being “informed” by 6 media companies on what they should eat, drink, write, think, see, accept, vote and well you get the picture. Anything that leads to a distortion in a false reality – which promotes endless war – is positive.
Sam has done a great job at bringing a viable solution to the table, check out his excellent initiative at votepact.org
The establishment so wants everyone else to unfriend Trump supporters on Facebook. There’s even an app to block them. That’ll teach them!
Yes, Trump plays a bully boy and is appealing to populist (good), nativist, xenophobic, and racist sentiments (bad).
Those things need to be meaningfully addressed and engaged, not for self-styled sophisticates to raise their noses, dismissing them.
But focusing only on the negative aspects of Trump’s campaign has blinded people to the good — and I don’t mean good like, oh, the Democrat can beat this guy. I mean good like it’s good that some of these issues are finally getting aired.
Trump appeals to nativist sentiments, but those same sentiments are skeptical of the militarized role of the U.S. in the world — as was the case during Pat Buchanan’s 1992 campaign.
The New York Timesrecently purported to grade the veracity of presidential candidates. Of course by their accounting, Trump was off the scales lying. But he recently said the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State “killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity….The Middle East is a total disaster under her.” Now, I think that’s pretty accurate, though U.S. policy in my view may be more Machiavellian than stupid, but the remark is a breath of fresh air on the national stage.
But I’ve not seen anyone fact-check that assertion, because that’s not an argument much of establishment media wants to debate. Of course, a few sentences later Trump talks about the attack on the CIA station in Benghazi, causing Salon to dismiss him as embracing “conspiracies,” which is likely all many people hear.
Shouldn’t someone who at times articulates truly inconvenient truths be noted as breaking politically correct taboos? Trump says such truths, such as this nugget from the Las Vegas debate about U.S. wars:
“We’ve spent $4 trillion trying to topple various people that frankly, if they were there and if we could’ve spent that $4 trillion in the United States to fix our roads, our bridges, and all of the other problems; our airports and all of the other problems we’ve had, we would’ve been a lot better off. I can tell you that right now.”
This I think is a stronger critique of military spending than we’ve heard from Bernie Sanders of late.
“Fear isn’t so difficult to understand. After all, weren’t we all frightened as children? Nothing has changed since Little Red Riding Hood faced the big bad wolf. What frightens us today is exactly the same sort of thing that frightened us yesterday. It’s just a different wolf.” ― Alfred Hitchcock
In an age dominated with news of school shootings, school lockdowns, police shootings of unarmed citizens (including children), SWAT team raids gone awry (leaving children devastated and damaged), reports of school resource officers tasering and shackling unruly students, and public schools undergoing lockdowns and active drills, I find myself wrestling with the question: how do you prepare a child for life in the American police state?
Every parent lives with a fear of the dangers that prey on young children: the predators who lurk at bus stops and playgrounds, the traffickers who make a living by selling young bodies, the peddlers who push drugs that ensnare and addict, the gangs that deal in violence and bullets, the drunk drivers, the school bullies, the madmen with guns, the diseases that can end a life before it’s truly begun, the cynicism of a modern age that can tarnish innocence, and the greed of a corporate age that makes its living by trading on young consumers.
It’s difficult enough raising a child in a world ravaged by war, disease, poverty and hate, but when you add the police state into the mix—with its battlefield mindset, weaponry, rigidity, surveillance, fascism, indoctrination, violence, etc.—it becomes near impossible to guard against the toxic stress of police shootings, SWAT team raids, students being tasered and shackled, lockdown drills, and a growing unease that some of the monsters of our age come dressed in government uniforms.
January 31, 2015 “ICH” – Anyone paying attention knows that 9/11 has been used to create a police/warfare state. Years ago NSA official William Binney warned Americans about the universal spying by the National Security Agency, to little effect. Recently Edward Snowden proved the all-inclusive NSA spying by releasing spy documents, enough of which have been made available by Glenn Greenwald to establish the fact of NSA illegal and unconstitutional spying, spying that has no legal, constitutional, or “national security” reasons.Yet Americans are not up in arms. Americans have accepted the government’s offenses against them as necessary protection against “terrorists.”
Neither Congress, the White House, or the Judiciary has done anything about the wrongful spying, because the spying serves the government. Law and the Constitution are expendable when the few who control the government have their “more important agendas.”
Bradley Manning warned us of the militarization of US foreign policy and the murderous consequences, and Julian Assange of WikiLeaks posted leaked documents proving it.
Another gang of goon thug gratuitous murderers has been let off by a racist grand jury and a racist non-prosecutor. Read the verbiage spewed by NY mayor Bill de Blasio and the Obama Puppet:http://rt.com/usa/211203-garner-chokehold-grand-jury-decision/ They are so sorry about the collateral damage of protecting the public from criminals and terrorists. Without the death of innocents, none of us would be safe. Our safety depended on the NYPD murder of Eric Garner, a father of six who was a threat to no one.
Another police murder of a US citizen who was no threat to anyone–just more collateral damage–as the US military calls it when US forces blow up kids’ soccer games, weddings, funerals, and birthday parties. Any concentration of people, regardless of what they are doing, is considered to be an enemy force and legitimate target. This includes people picking their crops in fields.
Unfortunate perhaps, on occasion, but soldiers and police and US presidents have the right to make mistakes. Only a dangerous “domestic extremist” would think that a goon thug should be held accountable for a mistake. I mean, after all, the 21st century American courts have established that those in the executive branch are above the law. American judges are sworn to uphold the US Constitution, but this has not stopped them from subverting it in the interest of executive power in order to make us “safe.”
Accountability would prevent “our” government from protecting us. Law gets in the way by protecting innocents from fabricated charges and a citizenry from a tyrannical government. How can any American be safe unless the government has total power to protect the citizen by declaring him without any evidence to be a threat and thereby a subject for extermination?
Really, I mean, without the authoritative powerful and unrestrained government in Washington and in the police, how would any of us be safe? Threats would be everywhere, and we would all be murdered in our beds by domestic extremists if not by terrorists. Without total power, Washington would be unable to protect us.
Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler have shown us the way, and Washington has taken it to heart as long as you understand that killing is what makes us safe. The more killing the safer we are.
You might be next, but it will just be collateral damage, an essential element of keeping
The tragedy of September 11, 2001, goes far beyond the deaths of those who died in the towers and the deaths of firefighters and first responders who succumbed to illnesses caused by inhalation of toxic dust. For thirteen years a new generation of Americans has been born into the 9/11 myth that has been used to create the American warfare/police state.
The corrupt Bush and Obama regimes used 9/11 to kill, maim, dispossess and displace millions of Muslims in seven countries, none of whom had anything whatsoever to do with 9/11.
A generation of Americans has been born into disdain and distrust of Muslims.
A generation of Americans has been born into a police state in which privacy and constitutional protections no longer exist.
A generation of Americans has been born into continuous warfare while needs of citizens go unmet.
A generation of Americans has been born into a society in which truth is replaced with the endless repetition of falsehoods.
While the world attention has focused on a race analysis of the shooting in Ferguson, Tom takes a look from a different angle. He diligently backs up his claims with evidence that points to a different motive.
The emergence of the US Police State has been a phenomenon in the making for a while. Each protest and each police response to violence is an opportunity for the state to be either benevolent or vindictive. Scanning US domestic media shows us a curtailing of rights, militarization of police and police brutality on the rise. This unfortunately points towards the latter.
It’s my contention that the alleged race-based police shooting in Ferguson, Mo.. is, in fact, a concoction exploited by politicians and their paid rabble rousers to expand police powers and create a state of quasi-martial-law in the U.S. based on fear in the general population—on one hand—and rage on the part of paid provocateurs, gangs, and easily-misled black citizens.
This is part of an ongoing process of terrorizing the population to accept greater restrictions in return for “saftey”—much as the drug menace was used to create public acceptance for the war on drugs. This war cost people a great deal of personal and financial freedom but failed to solve any of the underlying problems.
Prima facie evidence that, this time around, the general public is skeptical of the Ferguson, Mo./Mike Brown narrative presented by the controlled mainstream media, black “activists”, and the Obama Administration is evidenced by the financial contributions made by the general public. These are running in a nearly 2:1 ratio in favor of the defense of officer Darren Wilson vs. money for Michael Brown’s family. Wilson’s defense fund has raised in excess of $400,000 as of this writing.
Part of this skepticism may be due to the fact that the vast majority of violent interracial crime in the U.S.—more than 80%–is perpetrated against whites. For of the 20% of violent crimes that are interracial, 15% involve black offenders and white victims; 2% involve white offenders and black victims. There is, in fact, an epidemic of such crime fueled by a large number of black youth in the U.S. with below-average IQ’s. Instead of being given vocational training in line with their abilities they are told by educators they cannot compete because of “white racism.” This produces great hostility against whites, the vast majority of whom never did anything to harm blacks or even had a distant ancestor who held slaves. (Much more black crime is directed at other blacks—perhaps indicating a concern of the voters of Ferguson who outnumber white voters by more than 2:1 and could easily have had a mostly black police force if they so desired.)
Whites, in fact, are the victims of systematic official discrimination in work, housing, and education. Many whites do not get a job, get promoted, get subsidized housing or attend the school of their choice because of their race. These benefits go to less-qualified blacks. This is euphemistically called “affirmative action.”
While the large number of blacks in the prison population is held up as an example of race-based justice, the reality is that blacks commit an inordinate amount of crime per capita—whatever the reason. In practice, it is white victims that get the short end of the stick. For instance, in a horrific rape-torture-murder of a white couple in Tennessee several years back, the black perpetrators used the defense that the female victim wanted to be killed this way and had hired them! All got light sentences and the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole is now considering releasing one of these criminals.
In the mid-1990s, the Center for Equal Opportunity analyzed 55,512 felony cases filed in state courts for the 75 largest counties, representing 37% of the U.S. population. The weighted data revealed that juries actually acquit blacks at a higher rate than whites for 12 of the 14 types of crime studied—including murder, rape, robbery and assault. The only category that had a higher conviction rate for African-Americans was felony traffic offenses.
Contrary to the numerous inflammatory public statements claiming Brown was either running away from Officer Wilson with his hands up or on his knees with hands up—shot execution style by the “racist cop (hence the slogan: “Hands up, don’t shoot.”)—Brown was shot all times in the front, with his hands down, and was apparently running towards the officer. The last shot, to the top of his head, was apparently fired as the suspect was falling after the other 5-6 shots had likely failed to stop his charge.
Obviously, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, the media and the outside agitators were well aware that Brown had NOT been shot in the back or kneeling with his hands up as his body was lying in plain view inside the police lines and was likely seen by dozens of eyewitnesses. Yet these people—aided and abetted (by their silence) incitement to riot, which included chants calling for the death of officer Wilson. Ample proof can be seen in the following excerpt from an autopsy of Mike Brown by former NYC Medical Examiner Michael M. Baden (N.Y. Times, Aug. 17, 2014):
There were no wounds on the back or powder burns on Brown’s body, indicating that he had not been shot at close range, execution style. A recently released audio recording of Wilson firing 11 shots in rapid succession does not—as the media indicates—show recklessness. It indicates an officer, in fear of his life, attempting to stop a massive suspect (who had already beaten him, fractured an eye socket, and attempted to take his service revolver.)
While Brown’s alleged accomplice in the assault and robbery of the convenience store—Dorian Johnson–has since recanted his story after the autopsy results were released, several other accounts have surfaced confirming that Brown, a former school football linebacker, turned on the officer and rushed toward him, causing the officer to fire.
A local radio station, KFTK, recently broadcast what is claimed to be the officer’s account of the event as told to his “significant other”.
According to this statement, Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson were walking in the middle of the street, refusing to get out of the street after Wilson asked them to do so. At that point, Wilson got a call about a “strong-arm” robbery, and saw the cigars (a $50 pack of “Tiparillos” cigars) that Brown allegedly stole from a convenience store. When Wilson opened the door to get out of the police car, Brown pushed the door shut and punched Wilson in the face and attempted to get the officer’s sidearm. The gun went off once in the struggle. Brown and Johnson started running away and, following protocol, Wilson pursued them and yelled, “Freeze.” The caller alleges Brown then started taunting Wilson and daring him to shoot. Brown reportedly turned and rushed the cop again.
The aftermath of this event is equally suspect and is fraught with outside agitators, possibly paid gang organizers and suspicious arsons and “spontaneous” gatherings. The latest installment on the Nodisinfo website—which deals with false-flag events—asserts the subsequent fire at the QT convenience store where Brown allegedly stole his cigarillos was staged using pyrotechnics and propane cylinders:
Concludes Nodisinfo: “The use of (a) flare gun is hard proof of the hoax. The QT riots and looting were fully staged. It was not a spontaneous act at all. Rather, it was a pre-planned part of the Ferguson scam known, here, as the Ferguson Martial Law hoax. There was nothing spontaneous about it. Rather, it was all plotted and planned under the auspices of the Zionist-controlled military-police apparatus, with full knowledge and coordination of the Ferguson police force.”
