“Democracy” for the plebs

This is how “Democracy” currently works in many parts of the world. Kudos to the people for, either willingly or unwillingly, highlighting the mechanisms of actual power.

This is by no means a condemnation of the people, quite the opposite. It is an attempt to properly create context for what is happening:

Citizenry, abandoned by elected (read: Selected by Big Money) officials, has taken it upon itself to gather signatures on a piece of paper stating its opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (Read: Fire sale of sovereignty of countries party to treaty to global transnational corporations) being signed against the wishes of the majority of the people.

The piece of paper is being handed to an Imperial Mouthpiece who is the – this is the best part – representative of another Imperial Mouthpiece. The latter mouthpiece supposedly is on this tiny Island to protect the plebs on behalf of an unelected monarch usually seen in colourful hats.

The plebs will now wait for justice, which is unlikely to be delivered.

This cycle has been in play for a few hundred years and the human species has convinced itself that this is the best system of government. This is just one visual representation of how power actually works pretty much all around the world. When challenged with logical conclusions of the absurdity of the majority seeking approval from the 0.001% , the usual response is anger and condemnation with labels of “Communist”, “Utopian” and other assorted terms being readily assigned.

It beggars belief why in the 21st century with all the accumulated knowledge, technology, skills and intellect the human species displays its incapacity to establish a method of governance that merely functions as a conduit to fulfilling the needs of the governed population.

Primary on the list of goals would be the following:

i) Food & Water

ii) Shelter

iii) Medicine

iv) Education

vi) Technological benefits

This is not a call to move back to the cave/tent/choose your appropriate cultural analogy. Society itself will determine via equal representation what it wishes to manifest in it’s physical environment. It is merely a thought on a different method of resource allocation.

With us racing into the 21st century with more and more open conflict and a mass extinction underway, I truly wish us good luck.

An Association of Journalists who stand for honesty and dignity of life, by Augmented Ether

This blog has been online for sometime now and it has given us the opportunity to survey the landscape of popular left opinion makers, writers, journalists, philosophers, poets, historians,,economists, media organizations and more.

We have found there to be much good in the community, a lot of good will, true honest dedicated individuals and very driven truth seekers. To be honest, it has been the proverbial breath of fresh air to work with the wonderful people involved in speaking the truth.

However, we have also at the same time noticed a few things that can be done a lot better by just some simple coordination and collaboration. It has been very surprising to us that we were able to talk to veteran journalists, suggest ideas and even introduce people. And this was just a part time blog.

There are a number of good people doing great things and we wish to help them all connect with each other. That is pretty much the aim at the moment.

One such person who has been generous with her unwavering support of the truth and of raising the bar of journalism is Dagmar Henn, a former Munich City Councilor and now a member of the German Communist Party.

It was during a conversation with her that the idea of an “Association of Journalists” was mentioned by Dagmar.

Here, below, we (this blog) explain it in our own words.

The Proposition:

One need that we have seen in the Alternate Media landscape has been a lack of collaboration to establish standards that would help identify the honest from the run of the mill.  Perhaps a vehicle that could be a form of loose fraternity if you call it, would be say an “Association of Journalists who stand for honesty and dignity of life”. We all know how much damage the Mass Media inflicts on ordinary people who lap up lie after lie after lie

When the unenlightened go online, they are met with a barrage of news reports from every corner of the planet. There is simply no way to verify the report, certify the credibility of the author nor to assume with confidence that journalistic standards were followed. Now, if you are the average joe, would you really dig through to find the truth of the matter?

For instance, a logo or digital water mark for display pictures could be one simple way to indicate at first sight what the journalist stands for. We could even have a people fact checked and maintained database of journalists from around the world. These are just some ideas on how we could do things and by no means a final suggestion.

The idea is to spark conversations and working groups to help us all realize a positive outcome, a consolidation of our respective followers, a unification of the global movement now underway in various shapes, colours and forms.

Please help spread the word!

When there is utter corruption in the landscape then we must form a new body to be the focal point of fighting this corruption via people funded media. We feel NewsBud has that potential, it is a truly unique way to transform news for the 21st century.

Similarly, we see exciting stuff at Peak Prosperity that will serve as a great educational tool for the masses of interested people.

Another example of powerful people power is Mint Press News that has quickly gained a steady following.

How can we have everyone collaborating more?

How can we shape opinion by using technology to enable discussion panels with the worlds foremost experts on a regular basis broadcast online for the entire planet to learn from? for example. A panel dedicated to responding to official government claims on matters such as the TPPA .

There is much to think about and this is by no means an attempt to answer all questions but we feel it is a step in the right direction.

We would like to call on anyone in our community of peers to discuss these idea among yourselves, your network of friends & family and us.

Never before in the history of the world did we all have so much talent available at our finger tips. Lets get smart and use it to our advantage. We can do wonderful things.

How Do You Prepare a Child for Life in the American Police State?, by John W. Whitehead

Source: The Rutherford Institute

“Fear isn’t so difficult to understand. After all, weren’t we all frightened as children? Nothing has changed since Little Red Riding Hood faced the big bad wolf. What frightens us today is exactly the same sort of thing that frightened us yesterday. It’s just a different wolf.” ― Alfred Hitchcock

In an age dominated with news of school shootings, school lockdowns, police shootings of unarmed citizens (including children), SWAT team raids gone awry (leaving children devastated and damaged), reports of school resource officers tasering and shackling unruly students, and public schools undergoing lockdowns and active drills, I find myself wrestling with the question: how do you prepare a child for life in the American police state?

Every parent lives with a fear of the dangers that prey on young children: the predators who lurk at bus stops and playgrounds, the traffickers who make a living by selling young bodies, the peddlers who push drugs that ensnare and addict, the gangs that deal in violence and bullets, the drunk drivers, the school bullies, the madmen with guns, the diseases that can end a life before it’s truly begun, the cynicism of a modern age that can tarnish innocence, and the greed of a corporate age that makes its living by trading on young consumers.

It’s difficult enough raising a child in a world ravaged by war, disease, poverty and hate, but when you add the police state into the mix—with its battlefield mindset, weaponry, rigidity, surveillance, fascism, indoctrination, violence, etc.—it becomes near impossible to guard against the toxic stress of police shootings, SWAT team raids, students being tasered and shackled, lockdown drills, and a growing unease that some of the monsters of our age come dressed in government uniforms.

Libya: African Jewel, by Eric Draitser

Source: Counterpunch

Snatched away –
blood and sand
alloyed to lifeless aridity:
add water. A man-made
river stolen, siphoned

assets in frozen accounts,
darkness unpenetrated
by the electric gaze
of a once buzzing grid,
spark snuffed.

The Greeks knew this:
tragedies have heroes
and death, covalent bond –
a binary truth
to build myths upon.

Here the wind dries tears,
breaks skin like stone
and stone like steel.
Still, man and martyr stand,
faces to an unforgiving sun.

And with hands that once
broke bread
tilled soil
mended wounds,
they hoist the Green Flag

And declare:
We are here.

Conversation: Life of African-Russians In the Russian Federation

This article originally appeared on: Slavorum

————————————————————————————

When we think of multicultural society we always think of USA, and naturally during Cold War Era of Soviet Union one could not see black people from Africa located inside Russia. In other words maybe just some African delegations, but as Russian population none. However as USSR fell apart, and as Russia also turned to capitalist system things have changed in last years and as you are about to see many more people have come to become naturalized Russians. These people today live in Russia and work on positions from mayors, to policemen, army-men and anything else that comes to ones mind.

They are now sucesfully incorporated in all branches of society, so they work in public transport:

One Russian town has recently elected an African mayor:

Locals come to holy mass held by African priests:
